Potential Side Effects

The majority of patients use alprostadil cream with no adverse effects, if used as directed. However, there are circumstances in which there is a greater potential for serious side effects, namely in men who have:

• Preexisting medical conditions, particularly cardiovascular issues
• A blood clotting disorder
• Hypotension (low blood pressure)
• Infection of the urethra or bladder
• Penile implants or abnormalities

The medication does cause a drop in blood pressure. Men who suffer from low blood pressure or are taking medications to lower blood pressure should not buy alprostadil cream without first speaking to a doctor about potential risks and warning signs.
